Helping After a Suicide Loss: Community Dialogue with Early Responders

Community Dialogue with Early Responders

April 29, 2020

10:30 am to 1:30 pm

Oak Bluffs Public Library

56R School Street

Oak Bluffs, MA

A suicide death can be devastating for a family and a community.  Early responders to suicide — police officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, clergy, and funeral professionals — play an important role in helping loss survivors begin to cope with the traumatic impact of suicide.

Join us for this dialogue that provides participants with an overview of the responses that are common after a suicide death, ways to assist loss survivors in the aftermath of their loved one’s death, and ways to take care of oneself and fellow team members when dealing with a suicide loss.
