Workshop 1

Understanding and Treating Non-Suicidal Self-Injury

Dive into understanding, managing, and treating self-injury using the “Stepped Care Approach”

which allows clients and families to receive targeted support and treatment.

 Learn theories to explain suicide, safety planning to assist with managing suicide urges,

treatments for suicidality, and what it takes for providers to “sit with misery.”

Barent Walsh, Ph.D. is the author of Treating Self-Injury:  A Practical Guide.  Dr. Walsh is the Executive Director Emeritus of Open Sky Community Services and Lecturer on Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.

 

 Each training is free of charge.  Attendees may register for both Workshop 1 and 2.

CEUs pending for Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, LMHC, and Occupational Therapy.

Space is limited.  Registration closes 2 business days before each training date.
