Available Positions

Crisis Services Manager:

The Crisis Services Manager takes a leadership role in overseeing the daily operations of the Crisis Line and National Suicide Prevention Lifeline programs, and supervision of Crisis Services staff and volunteers. This position works with the Volunteer Coordinator to support volunteers to ensure a safe and productive environment to provide quality coverage on the Crisis Line. The Manager serves in an advisory position to the Assistant and Executive Directors in developing the program’s goals and is responsible for implementing strategies to meet those goals. They demonstrate a commitment to the organization’s mission and a deep understanding of the important role of volunteers. Outreach Services Manager:

The Outreach Services Manager leads continuing development, implementation, and management of Samaritans’ active outreach programs: A Caring Connection (ACC) and Senior Outreach. This position will supervise the program’s volunteers and establish relationships to promote the services at various levels in the community. The Manager serves in an advisory position to the Assistant and Executive Directors in developing the program’s goals and is responsible for implementing strategies to meet those goals. They foster volunteer connection and exemplify empathetic support in all that they do in this role. Grief Services Manager:

The Grief Services Manager provides supervision and guidance to Grief Services volunteers and leads services dedicated to supporting suicide loss survivors. This position oversees Safe Place support groups, LOSS Team outreach and distribution of Care Packages. The Manager serves in an advisory position to the Assistant and Executive Directors in developing the program’s goals and is responsible for implementing strategies to meet those goals. This position presents an opportunity for the Manager to build and shape new and existing programs, informing policies and processes from the ground up. Crisis Line Associate:

The Crisis Line Associate provides support to the Crisis Line program by answering calls for approximately 10-20 hours each week during periods with the least amount of coverage as designated and assigned by Crisis Services Manager with the goal of building Crisis Line response capacity.  In addition, Crisis Line Associates will perform other supervisory responsibilities as identified by the Crisis Services Manager.  For more information, click here:  Crisis Line Associate Job Posting
